What We do
The government of Alberta has privatized the road testing for class 5 basic, class 5 advanced, class 4. class 6 basic, class 6 advanced and Notice to Report tests. What does this mean for you? It means that when you are ready to take your road test, you may choose any office to complete your exam via the private driver examiners.
When you are ready and eligible to take your exam, the first step is to schedule your road test with an available registry office. The office will assign an examiner to your test who is vetted and holds the credentials necessary for the test. Once you’ve booked, you will receive a confirmation of booking. Please take the time to read the document and understand the rules, regulations and requirements to do the exam.
On the day of the exam, you’ll arrive at the office half an hour before your test to check in, verify your identity, check your documents and confirm you’re eligible for the test. The examiner will then take you on your road tests and have you complete the required tasks associated with your exam. This may be full stops, parallel parking, hill parking, safe handling and a myriad of other criteria on their checklist. If you pass, you’ll be required to go back inside the registry and complete the process with a registry agent.
